Letters from the Universe

MOVIE

Reflecting on the ideology of the times is a hallmark of this blog’s author, but I have no intention of speaking about myself in the third person, even though I often find myself looking at life and current events as if I were watching a movie starring unknown actors.

Well, what can I say—introverts sometimes find it amusing to watch people go about their lives as if in their own made-up movie, whose plot highlights its artificial nature against the backdrop of the reality of life.

It’s as if we find ourselves in some invisible bubble of thoughts and feelings, and it seems we love to mull them over again and again, as if we want to finally memorize our study guides, but we’ve been suffering from a terrible hangover.

A movie can sometimes be so simple and absurd, yet leave a lasting impression on viewers. Sometimes it’s filled with such intense emotions—jealousy, fear, guilt—but other times it draws you into a state of oblivion.

Because where we are, the air is so warm and humid, right by the sea, our souls are so full, and the bass follows the beat of my heart, which quickens every time our gazes meet through our dark sunglasses, following the fiery rhythm of the music. It’s summer, and the energy of desire has its own powerful vibration, whose pull is impossible to resist.

I feel like living, I feel like dancing, and I don't want to think about the future at all, because I want to seize the moment of living and this sweet moment that slips away so quickly—because when I look toward the future, I just want to see you again.

But fate is such a mean bitch!

The truth is that the setting of life sometimes resembles a movie set, just as life itself resembles a movie, but movies, my friends—generally speaking—are something we create for ourselves.

Life is a movie in which we are the main actors and we create our own storyline, so let's make sure that, in the end, we have no regrets.
