The only free choice that sometimes arises is due to one of the two driving forces that exist: love or fear. Fear is the energy that contracts, closes in, draws in, flees, hides, hoards, or harms. Love is the energy that expands, opens, sends out, creates, reveals, shares, and heals. Fear wraps our bodies in clothes; love gives us the peace to stand naked. Fear clings to and squeezes everything we have. Love gives away everything we have. Fear is close at hand; love is often far away. Fear takes us captive; love lets us fly, because it knows we will return. Fear unsettles us; love calms us. Fear attacks; love heals. Every human thought, word, or action is based on one emotion or another. But we always have a free choice. Which of the two will we choose?
